Peeling tulip bulbs...

How do you think we can keep talent motivated?

It sounds a bit cliche but I believe that ultimately you want to inspire and empower talented people and give them a fun environment to work in where the they can learn and grow.

What excites you about this next decade?

The reemergence of a true peer-to-peer economy. Hopefully we'll also see technological developments, coupled with an evolving mindset around how we use technology, that liberate us and allows people to focus more on the things that count.

If you had to make a quick escape where would you go?

Jamaica. Tickets already booked.

What is on your bedside table?

Book by Russell Shorto called Nieuw Amsterdam (In Dutch) a revisionist history of New York, iPad, Nike fuel band, watch...

If you weren't in this business what would you be doing?

Starting up a microbrewery.

Who would you most like to meet for a drink?

Nelson Mandela.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Hmm... as of late my daily bite at Dean & Deluca... I never thought I'd pay $18 for a sandwich and an orange juice.
